Murder Beyond the Stars at Pellegrino’s Event Center!

An evening of murder, music and merriment – coming this June!

9Pellegrino’s Italian Kitchen and Open Road Productions are teaming up to bring a musical murder mystery to Olympia audiences for four performances in June.  While you enjoy a delicious four-course dinner, you can help catch the killer before they strike again!

In Murder Most Fowl, the Empire Shakespeare Company is mounting a last ditch attempt to save itself by putting on a production of Hamlet.  6A cold blooded killer has other ideas, and one of the company’s founders is now dead.  Whodunit?  The play’s director, who had a history with the deceased?  The leading man, who may have heard one insult too many?  The stage manager with a deadly secret?

The only way to find out is to come to Pellegrino’s 2on June 13th and 14th, 20th and 21st.  Audiences will watch the mystery unfold between a sumptuous four-course dinner from executive chef Sam Pellegrino, including Shakespearean Antipasto Skewers, Bloody Dane Beet Salad, Chicken Bearnaise, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Whole Green Beans, Soused Claudius Champagne Cake, and a glass of wine.

In between acts, the suspects will be available for questioning by the audience.  Before the final act, the audience can “take a stab” at the bloody facts on their sleuthing sheets.  Prizes will be awarded, and the truth will out!  There will be thrills.  There will be laughs. There will be music.  There will be…chicken.  Featuring an all-star Olympia cast, including Dennis Rolly, Amy Shephard, Heather Christopher, Samantha Chandler, Andrew Gordon and Rob Taylor. Sound Design and engineering by the incomparable John Manini. Written by Andrew Gordon. Music by Bruce Whitney. Lyrics by Scot Whitney. Directed by Jenny Greenlee.
